The Hero World Challenge is about to start at the Bahamas’ Albany Golf Course.

Because he just had back surgery and tore his Achilles tendon, tournament host Tiger Woods won’t be able to play. Six of the top ten players in the world will be in the 20-person field, led by defending winner Scottie Scheffler, who wants to win three times in a row.

Two players, J.J. Spaun, winner of the U.S. Open, and Chris Gotterup, winner of the Genesis Scottish Open, are playing in their first event. Jordan Spieth, Billy Horschel, and Akshay Bhatia are also playing because they were sponsored.

Aaron Rai took Justin Thomas‘ place on the field after he had a microdiscectomy to fix a bulging disc in his back.

The game is an exhibition on the PGA Tour, but it has a $5 million prize pool and world ranking points.

The event has been called the Williams World Challenge, the Target World Challenge, and the Chevron World Challenge. Woods has won all five of them. Along with Scheffler, Graeme McDowell and Viktor Hovland are the only other people to have won more than one tournament. One other past winner, Hideki Matsuyama (2016), and one other, Jordan Spieth (2014), are also playing this week.
