Who won 2024’s The Sentry? Looked at the final standings and scores

Chris Kirk beat Sahith Theegala by one stroke by shooting an 8-under 65 on Sunday, January 7. He won the Sentry 2024. At the end of 72 holes at Kapalua Plantation Course, he was 29-under, making him the first winner on the PGA Tour in 2024.

Kirk was in first place after 54 holes of the Sentry. He then made eight birdies over the next 18 holes to avoid making bogeys. With this score, they stayed ahead of Theegala, who had a low score of 63 and ten shots.

Kirk beat his alcoholism for a long time and won the Honda Classic last year. It was his first win since 2019. He finished in the top 50 of the FedEx Cup because of his win last year, which allowed him to play in all of this season’s Signature events.

After getting the Sentry, Kirk said, “I lost the joy of most things in life for a while.” “But, yeah, it’s back for sure.” I really enjoy how tough this is. I love the process of getting better at this because it’s so hard. I love all the work it takes to be the best person I can be.

“I’ve definitely fallen in love with that process again. Sometimes, like today, you get something good out of it, and sometimes you don’t.” That’s just how things are. “I believe that if you want to be successful and enjoy your life as a PGA TOUR player, you have to love what you do,” he said.

Kirk’s sixth PGA Tour win is the Sentry. The prize pool for the event was $20 million, and he won $3.6 million. This is the biggest cheque of his career so far.
