Scottie Scheffler was in first place at the end of Day 1 of The Sentry. His score of 9-under-64 put him in first place after 36 holes at the Kapalua Resort’s Plantation Course in Kapalua, Hawaii. He is the two-time PGA Tour Player of the Year. Scheffler beat golfers like Tyrrell Hatton, Sungjae Im, and Brendon Todd by shooting a total of 16-under 130. This is the first time he has ever shot 16-under par in two rounds.

The 27-year-old had a great round that included a 25-foot eagle putt at the fifth hole. The Hero World Challenge was impressive, and Hatton shot an 11-under 62 to move up to second place on the rankings. Collin Morikawa was in first place after Round 1, and then Chris Kirk, Viktor Hovland, and Byeong Hun An came in next. The best they could do was T5, two shots behind.
