One of the best female soccer players in recent U.S. history is going through a breakup right now.
Ali Krieger is getting a divorce. She was a star on the U.S. women’s national team and in the National Women’s Soccer League. She had been married to Ashlyn Harris, who was also an American women’s soccer player.
Harris is said to have asked for a divorce last month. The official court papers say that the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
Fans feel bad for Krieger because she is nearing the end of her career and now has to deal with the bad news of her split.
“all i know is that this sucks and ali krieger deserved to have and enjoy the moment her career deserved,” a fan wrote.
“The person who leaked Ashlyn Harris’s divorce filing from a few weeks ago right before Ali Krieger’s last game is a jerk.” also as a publisher,” said another fan.
Krieger’s pre-game meeting with the reporters was canceled, most likely because of what was going on.
We’re sorry Ali is going through this, but we wish him the best in life from now on.
