This week, it was said that Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger, who used to be on the USWNT, are splitting up.
Their first meeting was in 2010. In the end, they got married in 2019 and adopted two kids together, Sloane and Ocean.
Football fans don’t like that this information got out just a few days before Krieger’s last game with Gotham FC.
“Whoever decided to leak Ashlyn Harris’s several-weeks-old divorce filing just before Ali Krieger’s final game is a real s—,” someone said. “Publisher, too.”
Krieger said in March that she was going into her last year of professional soccer. She should be able to enjoy this moment without having to think about what other people are saying or stories about her personal life.
Krieger’s final NWSL match may not get as much attention as she had hoped because she is getting divorced.
According to court papers, Harris asked for a divorce because she and her husband’s relationship is “irretrievably broken.” In any case, she is likely to reach a deal with Krieger to settle any “financial issues.”
It is said that Harris and Krieger plan to share care of their children.
