Top 5 shocking names that aren’t on Tiger Woods’ TGL list incl. Jack Nicklaus and Scottie Scheffler.

An innovative golf league called TGL was created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. There will be 24 players in the event, which will happen in 2024. There will be six teams in the game, and each will have four players.

To date, Patrick Cantlay, Wyndham Clark, Keegan Bradley, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Xander Schauffele, Max Homa, Kevin Kisner, Min Woo Lee, and Lucas Glover have all joined the series. So have Woods, McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Rickie Fowler, Tom Kim, Sahith Theegala, Billy Horschel, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick, Cameron Young, and Tyrrell Hatton.

But the golf league forgot to include some of the best players’ names, like Viktor Hovland, who won the 2023 Tour Championship, and Scottie Scheffler, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the world.

Also, let’s look at the five big names that aren’t in Tiger Woods’s TGL league.

Top 5 shocking names that aren’t on Tiger Woods’ TGL list

Nick Scheffler

Scheffler has been in great shape since the start of the season. He first won the WM Phoenix Open this year, and then he won The Players Championship. He tied for sixth place at the Tour Championship, but he won’t be able to play in the TGL league.

Scheffler’s last game was at the 2023 Ryder Cup, but he had a tough time with his game.

Michael Spieth

Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth’s best friend, will play in the league with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, but he won’t be able to make it to the series.

The American player hasn’t won any events yet this season, but he has had some good scores. At the Masters in 2023, he tied for fourth place. At the Memorial Tournament, he finished fifth, and at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, he finished sixth.

The Zalatoris Will

Being hurt has been hard for Zalatoris, and he hasn’t played in any events since the Masters in April. There were a few events he played in earlier this year. His best score was a solo fourth place at the 2023 Genesis Invitational Open.

Ivan Hovland

This season, Viktor Hovland has been in great shape. It was two FedEx Cup events in a row that he won.

This season, Hovland hasn’t made the cut in any of the events. He is also the reigning winner of the Hero World Challenge, which is put on by Tiger Woods. He will not play in the TGL league, though.

Hideki Matsuyama

Former winner of the Masters Hideki Matsuyama will also not be in the TGL league these days. In this golf season, he did well on the PGA Tour. He moved up into the top 70 of the FedEx Cup standings and played in the St. Jude Championship, where he tied for 16th place. He did not race in the BMW Championship, though.
