The 2024 CONMEBOL America’s Cup

Ten teams from CONMEBOL and six teams from CONCACAF will play in the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024TM, which will take place in the United States. Both confederations will put together this year’s version of this traditional event.

Through the Concacaf Nations League 2023–24, the six Concacaf teams get to play in the tournament. There are already known teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. They are the US, Jamaica, Mexico, and Panama. The other two Concacaf teams will be decided after a Play-In match between Costa Rica and Honduras and Canada vs. Trinidad and Tobago. The Play-In will happen on March 23, 2024, Saturday.

This will be the second time in the tournament’s history that it has hosted 16 teams. The first time was in 2016, also in the United States, for the 48th edition of one of the most important events on the continent.

In June and July 2024, 32 games will be played between teams that have won 10 FIFA World Cup titles and the biggest names in football from around the world.

2024 Copa America group stage draw: Groups, schedule, fixtures

For a special edition of the CONMEBOL continental title, the 2024 Copa America will bring together teams from North and South America. It will also be a celebration of the buildup to the 2026 World Cup in the United States.

The USA will host the Copa America, which will have 10 South American teams plus six North American teams competing for their own regional crown against the established CONMEBOL powers.

Lionel Messi, defending champions Argentina, and world football powerhouse Brazil will all have to deal with a 16-team competition that includes all the usual rivals as well as the USA, Mexico, and Jamaica. This is because the North American confederation wants to give them a tough test before the 2026 FIFA tournament, which will be held in their own country.

The participants will find out their fate in the group stage draw on December 7. This will give them time to properly prepare for the competition as they get ready for the huge chance to show what they can do against other global powerhouses.

Copa America schedule and rules for 2024
