The Opening Swing part of the 2023–24 DP World Tour season has begun. The 2023 Alfred Dunhill Championship will start at the Leopard Creek Country Club in Malelane, South Africa, on November 7, 2023.
The event is co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the Sunshine Tour. There will be 156 golfers competing for the €1.5 million ($1.62 million) reward. A lot of regulars on the DP World Tour, like Louis Oosthuizen, Thriston Lawrence, Dean Burmester, and Charl Schwartzel, will be competing for the €255,000 (about $276,000) prize.
A champion from last year, Ockie Strydom, will also be back for the game in South Africa. However, none of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking will be in the running for the Alfred Dunhill Championship, which comes after the PGA Tour regular season.
