college football bowl games in 2022 and 2023.
college football bowl games in 2022 and 2023.

Trying to figure out all of the bowl games and playoff games for the 2022-23 college football season.

The bowl schedule for 2022–2023 has a total of 42 games, and Athlon Sports has full predictions and projections for all of them. Even though there are still 13 weeks left in the season, it’s never too early to look ahead to what the bowl games might be like.

The playoffs officially start on December 16 with two games, and they go on until the national championship game on January 9 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. This year, the College Football Playoff semifinals are on December 31. The Peach Bowl and the Fiesta Bowl are where the games will be held.

The actual process of choosing teams is more complicated than in years past, and as usual, teams will likely trade spots in order to fill them by December. But almost all of the important information about the 2022-2023 bowl schedule has been made public. During the year, projections will be changed every week. All bowl spots need to be filled by 82 teams, but it’s possible that not enough teams will win six games. APR is used to predict (and pick) between 5 and 7 teams for the 2022 season, if needed.

Note: Teams in bold have agreed to play in the game.

What will the playoff picture look like in December?

After Week 13, Athlon Sports has made the following predictions for every bowl and playoff game in 2022:
