The first game of Euro 2024 between England and Serbia will be shown live on the BBC.
Gareth Southgate’s team has been given the top spot in the European Championships. The tournament will run from June 14 to July 14 in Germany. The Three Lions are in Group C with Serbia, Slovenia, and Denmark. They will be sure that they can make it to the next round.

England’s first two games, against Serbia on June 16 and Denmark on June 20, will be shown on BBC. Their final group game, against Slovenia on June 25, will be shown on ITV. Germany and Scotland will play in the first game of the event on June 14. The game will be shown live on ITV.

English teams that make it to the round of 16 will most likely play on ITV, which gets to choose their games, while the quarterfinals will be shown on BBC again. ITV will also show the winner of Play-off A, which could be Wales, playing Austria in Group D on June 21, 2016.

ITV’s head of sport, Niall Sloane, said, “Now that the draw is over, we can start to look forward to next summer’s Euros in Germany. We’re thrilled to be able to show what should be a great start to the tournament with the first game between Scotland and the hosts.”

“We get to choose the round of 16 and the semi-finals, and since England is one of the favorites, we hope to show viewers their best moments from what could be a historic tournament for them.” Our goal is to bring fans the best of Euro 2024, and we’ll be announcing our full coverage plans in the lead-up to next June.

Philip Bernie, head of TV sports for the BBC, says, “Next year, we’ll be able to watch the UEFA European Championships, the Olympics in Paris, and Wimbledon all on BBC. It will be a great summer for sports.” Along with live games featuring the tournament favorites, we’re excited to have two games for England and Scotland in the group rounds. If Wales makes it, we hope to add two more games for them as well.

“We’re proud that the BBC will once again cover and analyze the whole event on TV, radio, and online, so fans can watch it all from anywhere.”
