DORAL, Florida — There were two days of match play at the 2023 LIV Golf Team Championship. Now it’s time for stroke play.
Twelve teams came to the Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral for the $50 million season finale. Now, only four teams are left for the final round. Kind of.
Yesterday, all 12 teams played, but only the four winners from Saturday’s quarterfinal round will be fighting for the $14 million top prize. Those teams are 4Aces GC, Crushers GC, RangeGoats GC, and Torque GC.
“I still have to play golf. “It’s the same as match play in that you can’t just pick up a bad shot,” Johnson said of the change from match play to stroke play. “All four of you have to play well if you want to win. Tomorrow, everyone needs to work together. It looks good to me. The prize is up for grabs among the four teams.
Cleeks GC and the other teams that lost on Saturday will be competing for spots 5–8. Iron Heads GC, Majesticks GC, Ripper GC, and Smash GC, the teams that lost in the quarterfinals on Friday, will be fighting for spots 9–12.
DeChambeau said of his Crushers, “It’s a huge chance for us.” “We left pretty sour last year, but this year things are different.” There are some guys who play better golf than me, but I get better every time.
“I hope I can keep that up tomorrow so we have a chance to win.” He also said, “We’ve been getting ready for this all year.” “And look, there are 18 holes of golf.” We have a good team, and anything could happen. Tomorrow, we have to show what we can do.
There will be 18 holes of shotgun start (1:05 p.m. ET) stroke play for all 48 players, and each score will count toward the team score. From 1 to 6 p.m. ET, you can watch on the CW or stream on the CW app or the LIV Golf app.
