Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Jackman, formerly known as Deborra-lee Furness, have been married for 27 years. On Sept. 15, they told the public that they are getting divorced.
“We’ve been lucky to be married for almost 30 years and have a great, loving relationship. “Our journey is changing, and we’ve decided to go our separate ways so we can each grow,” the couple told People in a statement.
“Our family has always been and will always be the most important thing to us. We start this next chapter with thanks, love, and kindness,” the statement said. “We really appreciate your understanding as our family goes through this big change in all of our lives. Please respect our privacy.”
Fans are surprised that the pair has broken up.
