Neymar didn’t hold back when he said in a press meeting that the Saudi Pro League is even better than Ligue 1.

Most people at PSG did not like Neymar. During his great time there, the Brazilian missed a lot of games because of injuries. Still, Neymar was able to help the club win 13 titles, but it never won a European club cup.

Neymar went to Brazil while he was healing from an ankle injury. He is now living in Saudi Arabia and playing for Al Hilal. Neymar is in Brazil with the national team getting ready for the first two World Cup qualifier games.

Neymar laughed off claims that he is playing at a lower level during a press meeting. The Brazilian thinks that the Saudi Pro League is as good as or better than Ligue 1.

Neymar says that the Saudi Pro League is similar to Ligue 1

“I can promise you that sport is the same there (in Saudi Arabia). The ball is round, there is a goal, and if you look at the names that have gone to the Saudi league… I’m not sure if it’s better or not than the French league.”

“I want Al Hilal to win titles, and my mind won’t change much about that. When I went to France, everyone said the same thing about how tough it was, and it was the place where I got hit the most in my life,” Neymar said. “I’m sure it won’t be easy to win the Saudi title because other teams are better and have famous stars. It will be very interesting to watch, and I’m sure you will.”

When asked if he had ever considered abandoning the Brazilian national team, the former Santos star responded, “After a lot of pressure from family and friends (to return to the national team), you start giving value to everything you did.” Neymar advised us. “They put you in your place and show that wearing Brazil’s shirt is worth it to maintain your happiness when you’re with your people, your family.”
