Amanda Balionis ended a busy weekend in New Orleans with a relaxing toast. The weekend was full of chaos, with a golf event that was delayed by bad weather, power outages, and a fascinating interview with Rory McIlroy that got all the attention.
Balionis recently made Justin Thomas cry with a personal question and then got a telling answer from Rory McIlroy when he asked him about happiness. Balionis posted a story on Instagram on Sunday about drinking wine with friends in Avondale near TPC Louisiana.
In her writing, she said, “Let’s enjoy this moment.” Raise our cups with a smile.” It came out that one LIV Golf star made almost TWICE as much as every PGA player in 2025.
The Zurich Classic of New Orleans had a lot of problems. There was a 93-minute weather delay in the last few minutes, storms were coming from only seven miles away, and there was a network power problem that was so bad that CBS Sports had to show old footage of the match from the previous year.
Another 92-minute break in round three earlier because of bad weather stopped McIlory’s putt for more than an hour. Even with all the chaos and storms, Balionis was able to create one of the most memorable viral moments of the event, which was shared on all of her social media accounts.
In a touching interview, she talked to McIlroy and Shane Lowry, two longtime friends whose relationship once again wowed the golf world.

After the last round, Balionis asked McIlroy, “Trevor Immelman said this is the most relaxed and happy he’s maybe ever seen you in your career.” Lowry laughed, and McIlroy smiled and said, “If he’s not happy now, he never will be.
They both shot 72, which was not good, and shared for 12th place in the Zurich Classic. They missed out on the prize. Griffin and Novak, on the other hand, beat the Hojgaard twins from Denmark by one shot to win and earn $2.67 million for their first PGA Tour win.
Griffin said after the win, “Yeah, I think it was just a matter of time out here for both Andrew and me.” All through this season and even into last season, we both put ourselves in the running a lot.
Yeah, both of us have put in a lot of hard work, and for me, it means the world to finally pay it off or finish it.” I can’t think of a better person to do it with than Andrew right here.
Since the event, Balionis has been writing about her health journey on social media. Besides that, she’s been busy with a project to save pets and an event for Tito’s Golf Club.
To help with adoption efforts for her Puppies and Golf charity, which she runs as President, even golfer Davis Riley has been asked to help.
