Was Mikal Bridges Team USA’s best player at the FIBA World Cup?

Even though the numbers say one thing, it’s clear who the best U.S. player was. Anthony Edwards was the leader of the group even before the FIBA World Cup started.

Several times, the star player for the Minnesota Timberwolves did everything he could to keep the U.S. in the game. His best game was when he scored 35 points in a shocking win against Lithuania.

Edwards scored more than 10 points in all but one game, and he scored more than 20 points four times. It’s clear that he was his team’s best player in this competition.

Edwards was also named a FIBA World Cup All-Star, which is another reason why he was the best player for the U.S. Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who plays for the OKC Thunder, are also part of the All-Star five.

Given that they came in fourth, it doesn’t mean much, but Edwards stood out on a team full of future stars.
