This event has only been going for 17 years, so it is still pretty new. This year’s tournament is important because it will be the first time that 20 teams compete for the prize. There will also be a first-ever big ICC event held in the United States.

But why is the United States hosting the T20 World Cup?

The T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 will be held in the USA. Why is that?

The West Indies and the USA will both hold the tournament. This will be held on Caribbean islands for the second time, the first time being in 2010. That being said, many people are surprised that the USA will also be playing since they are not a typical cricket team.

There are still a lot of people who watch sports in the USA, even though the team isn’t very good. Basketball, American football, hockey, and other sports have all done very well in the franchise field, and cricket wants to join them. In fact, the IPL is mostly based on how American franchise games work.

The start of the Major League Cricket (MLC) as a franchise league last year also paved the way for international cricket. With real T20 stars and money from IPL owners, it has given American cricket fans a way to get into the game.

On top of all this, there are a lot of South Asians (mainly Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis) living in the US who love cricket. This makes the USA a great place for cricket to grow
