A famous assistant coach at USC has died at the age of 91.

Dave Levy, who used to be an assistant coach at USC, died on Wednesday. He was 91 years old.

Levy worked as an assistant coach at USC from 1960 to 1975, when the famous John McKay was head coach. During the 16 years that Levy worked for the Trojans, they won four national titles. Levy went to the NFL for a short time, then came back to USC and was the assistant sports director for four years, from 1976 to 1979.

During his nine years as a teacher with the San Diego Chargers, he oversaw the offensive line, the tight ends, and the offense under both Don Coryell and Al Saunders. From 1989 to 1996, Levy also worked for the Detroit Lions as their offensive coordinator and running backs coach.

Levy was made a member of the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015.
