Which towns will host the next football show?

Today is Super Bowl 57. It will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This is the fourth time that the game has been held in the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

Not far behind are Miami (11), New Orleans (10), Los Angeles (8), and Tampa (5), which means they have won five Super Bowls.

It will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 10, 2024, which is next year. Las Vegas will be the site of the first one.

Last but not least, the Super Bowl will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans in 2025. That will tie New Orleans with Miami for the most Super Bowls won with 11.

A lot of people think that the Super Bowl will be held at Levi’s Stadium, which is where the San Francisco 49ers play. The Super Bowl has been held in the Bay Area twice before.

After that, no one knows what will happen in 2027 or after.

The Super Bowl has only been held in 15 towns with NFL teams.

The New York metro area, Miami, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Tampa, Phoenix, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Detroit, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Diego are some of them.

It makes sense to hold the game in areas with warm weather, but we’ve seen it spread to places with cold weather and outdoor stadiums, like East Rutherford, New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
Of course, new venues are great places for the Super Bowl, but you also need enough hotels, restaurants, and other services for all the people who come to town.

So, here are five places that might be good for the Super Bowl from 2027 to 2031.

2027: Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium

The only Super Bowl held in the Dallas-Fort Worth area was in 2011. That was in 2012, two years after Jerry World first opened in 2009.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys and the most powerful owner in the NFL, will want to win the Super Bowl as soon as possible. He’ll be 84 years old in 2027, after turning 80 this year.
He’s likely to get one.

2028: Detroit Lions play at Ford Field

Ford Field opened in 2002 and played home to the Super Bowl in 2006.

In the last ten years, the Detroit area has changed for the better, and Ford Field is a beautiful place to play.

Since it has a dome, it makes sense for the NFL to hold the Super Bowl in Detroit if they are willing to do so again.

Without a doubt, this place will be able to host its second Super Bowl.

Buffalo Bills get a new stadium in 2029

A new stadium is being built by the Bills to replace Highmark Stadium. It should be ready for the 2026 season. It’s going to cost somewhere between $1.4 billion and $1.6 billion. That’s a nice area.
Yes, the weather is a worry, and it sounds like this stadium will be outside. So, it might not be possible if you don’t think about Global Warming.

But let’s wait and see what the plan is. Who knows, maybe Buffalo will get its first SB.

2030: Tennessee Titans get a new home

I picked Buffalo’s stadium to get the first chance at a Super Bowl because it has already been approved for funds. Both teams hope to open by the 2026 season, though.

Tennessee’s stadium isn’t quite approved yet, but in December, big steps were taken to get the money cleared. Late this year is likely when the stadium will get full approval.

A stadium with a dome roof worth $2.2 billion is going to be built next to Nissan Stadium. There are many beautiful things about Nashville, and it would be a great place to hold the Super Bowl.

The TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville in 2031

In 2005, Jacksonville played home to the Super Bowl. The city had to do a lot just to house the guests. For example, you could bring vacation ships to the port so people have a place to sleep.

Still, the city and the team are working on a deal that would give TIAA Bank Field a $1 billion makeover. The field is structurally sound, but it needs a lot of changes, like shade, better amenities, bathrooms, concessions and more. We hope to be done with all of this by 2029.

The city is making great progress in making the centre area better. They tore down a lot of the junk along the riverfront near the stadium, so it’s now a blank slate and they have time to paint on it.

There is a lot of money that owner Shad Khan is putting into the city of Jacksonville. In eight years, you’d think they’d have built enough new facilities to make the Super Bowl a great event.

Other things to think about

It’s hard to guess where the Super Bowl will be held without thinking of Miami or Tampa. But the Super Bowl was just held in Tampa in 2021 and Miami in 2020, so they might have to wait.

Of course, New York City always wants the biggest events, so I’m sure there will be a big push to bring the Super Bowl back to the city.

Also, what happens in Chicago will be interesting to see. The Windy City has never hosted a Super Bowl, but it would be a great place to do so if Soldier Field was replaced with a modern indoor stadium.
