After almost a month of action-packed games, the World Cup final is finally here. France and Argentina, two of the best teams in the world, will play each other at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
Kylian Mbappe will be the main French player that Argentina will try to stop. So far in this World Cup, he has scored five goals and set up two others for Les Bleus. Mbappe and France want to win the World Cup again in Moscow and bring the FIFA World Cup Trophy back to France for the third time.
Argentina, on the other hand, is seeing Lionel Messi play what could be his last game. Messi has five goals and three assists in his fifth World Cup. This makes him the leader for the Golden Boot going into the final. Messi is trying to win his first World Cup title. He came close in 2014, but Argentina lost to Germany in the final, so he didn’t get it.
Both teams looked great in their semifinal games, so it’s sure to be a great match. If those are just warm-ups for the main event, Sunday’s 90 minutes (or more?) will be very exciting.

After that, Argentina beat Australia, but in the quarterfinals, the Netherlands took them to penalties. After that scare, Argentina beat Croatia easily in the semi-finals to earn its spot in Lusail.
