The PGA Tour is said to have banned golfer Wesley Bryan for life for his role in LIV Golf’s “The Duels: Miami,” as reported by Monday Q Info.

Bryan is currently at the Puntacana Resort & Club in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, but he is not participating in the Corales Puntacana Championship this year. He finished in second place in the tournament last year.

“We had this vacation planned for months, so I decided we would still come down,” Bryan told the news source. Bryan and PGA Tour player Ben Martin are renting a house together.

It’s been quite a while since our family took a vacation that didn’t include golf.

Bryan found out he was put on probation by the PGA Tour the day after playing in The Duels: Miami, a show with a lot of golf video creators from YouTube and other sites.

People who like golf really like his “Bryan Bros” YouTube account, which includes his brother George. So, LIV Golf asked them to play in the event, and the Bryans showed up to take part.

Six LIV golfers played with the golf creators in a scramble style over nine holes at the event. The team of George Bryan and Sergio Garcia won the match, which had a prize of $250,000.

Monday Q Info says that after talking to “multiple sources,” a third party told all the players involved that the PGA Tour could punish them by not letting them play in future events.

The fear of discipline could have something to do with the Creator Classic on the PGA Tour, which took place at TPC Sawgrass before The Players Championship this year. The idea behind The Duels: Miami was the same: bring in golf content creators to act to help the game grow.

Sources told Monday Q Info that the threats were later taken back, except for the possible warning to Bryan.

One famous YouTuber who makes golf videos, Grant Horvat, said that he was invited to the PGA Tour’s Barracuda Championship, which will take place in California from July 17–20. Horvat said he hasn’t yet said yes to the offer.

The video featuring Horvat from The Duels: Miami, which was uploaded to YouTube 10 days ago, has already garnered 2 million views.

Bryan said that he would use the PGA Tour’s appeals process to try to get his ban cleared up.

Bryan said, “The chances have been great for the last eight or nine years” on the PGA Tour, where he has won once in his career. “I’m very thankful to the Tour for that.” I do not want this to be the end of my chance to play competitive golf.

Bryan doesn’t feel bad about being in The Duels: Miami, though.

He stated, “[Horvat’s] video is among the most impactful videos in YouTube golf.” “We are going to continue to support Grante and grow the game through YouTube.”

A possible union between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf has been talked about, and many famous golfers on both tours have spoken out in favor of it. But it hasn’t happened yet.
