The team leader for the US, Johnson Zach, is upset that his team lost in Rome. Johnson thinks the main reason his team lost is that they didn’t put in enough effort because they had a long break.
Zach is still sad and hurt about losing. “Now that I look back, I can see a lot of things that I should have done differently. “Perhaps some regrets,” Johnson said. When I think about it now, the goal was to win, but we didn’t go do that, and that stinks. And it hurts in some ways still.”- Johnson, as cited by golfmonthly.com!

Zach Johnson is thinking about his time as captain of the USA Ryder Cup team and feels bad that he didn’t fully understand how important it was to handle his time better during the event.
He says that he doesn’t think better time management would have changed the outcome on its own, but as captain, he didn’t fully understand how important it was to manage time well until after the event was over.
“The common denominator that I go back to that I wish I could have changed, or not changed, I wish it would have dawned on me earlier is just the pure commodity of time and understanding that it’s precious,” stated Johnson.
Things are on your mind. If I had taught myself to value time management more, I could have set up my guys to play golf faster in the beginning. I don’t think that would have changed anything about the result. That’s sports, right? I can’t figure that out. I just want to say that I think in my seat. I didn’t see what I needed to see until it was too late. It has now been seen and heard by me and possibly a few others, but mostly myself. Hopefully, the next time, a better template will be used, and these guys can go play golf.
