Lionel Messi’s wife’s family’s supermarket was attacked by gunmen, and they left a scary message for him.

The family of Antonela Roccuzzo, who is married to Lionel Messi, owns a supermarket in Argentina. Gunmen broke in and left a scary message for the football star.

CCTV caught one of two men on a motorcycle walking up to the building in Messi’s hometown of Rosario and firing multiple times at the metal shutters on the windows and front door. At the grocery store, more than six shots were fired.

The attackers also left a note at the scene that was written by hand. It said: “Messi. We can’t wait to see you. Javkin is a drug runner. He will not take care of you.” Local news said that football fans called “barrabravas” in Argentina could be behind the attack.

A local TV station that reported on the attack said that the message suggested that the attackers might be trying to get the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner to pay them money.

It is thought that Antonela’s family owns the Supermercado Unico supermarket, which is run by one of Antonela’s cousins. After the gun attack around 2am on Thursday, it is likely to stay closed all day.

Messi owns a huge house called “The Fortress” on the edge of Rosario. The huge house was built on three plots of land next to each other in a private gated community. It has a huge movie theatre, a gym, and an underground garage with room for 15 cars.

In June 2017, he got married to Antonela at the fancy City Centre Hotel and Casino in Rosario. Sergio Aguero, a former striker for Manchester City, and Xavi, the manager of Barcelona, were among the guests.

Messi and Antonela, who is also from Rosario, have known each other since they were kids. In 2008, they started dating. They have three sons: Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. They lived together in Barcelona for most of their lives until 2021, when he moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi couldn’t go to his wife’s birthday party last Sunday because he had to play for PSG in their Ligue 1 win over Marseille. The player who won the World Cup scored once and set up two goals to help the Paris club stay on top of the table. Antonela put a picture of her 35th birthday party with her children on her Instagram story with the caption: “The best gift I’ve ever gotten. We miss you @lionelmessi.”

Messi’s future is still unclear, even though he only has a few months left on his contract with PSG. He was expected to sign a new contract with the French giants after a good season, but there has been talk lately that he might move to Saudi Arabia or go back to Rosario club Newell’s Old Boys, where he played as a young player.
